My Rock

The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior. -2 Samuel 22:2

Today’s Encouragement: How do you move forward when your life sees to be crashing down? Worst of all, the rest of the world keeps on moving as if nothing happened. Babies die, homes are repossessed, humans are bought and sold in slavery; all the while it seems people turn a blind eye. When we falter, remember that Jesus is your rock. He is our fortress – a place of refuge and safety that the enemy cannot penetrate. If the enemy cannot penetrate then that means there is no opening, meaning we are surrounded. He rescues us. Imagine these things literally happening around you, imagine Him literally shooting arrows and scattering your enemies, imagine Him literally reaching down and picking you up, bringing you into a spacious place.

So, whenever you feel like your world is crashing down, know that the Lord is with you. He feels your pain and knows what you are going through and He can carry you through it. Lean on Him.

Pray: Father, I pray for to be complete in faith through my actions. I ask You to equip me to trust and be obedient with what You have entrusted in my hands. Show me the way to go and bless me with each step I take. In Jesus Christ’s Name, I pray, Amen.

Reflection: How will you face your battles from now on?
