Laugh a Little

"The hopes of the godly result in happiness, but the expectations of the wicked come to nothing." - (NLT) Proverbs 10:28
Today's encouragement: Life is serious enough we need to be reminded to laugh together to ease the tension that tends to build up in our lives. Laughter is a great reminder of the joy that is hidden in our day-to-day lives. In the bible, Nehemiah, encourages people by telling them that the joy of the Lord is their strength. Strength is not found on being so busy or so put together that you don't have time to crack a smile. Strength comes when we slow down long enough to experience God's joy in our lives. If you are at your brink, Pause and remember the last time you laughed. Commit to doing things that will help put a smile on your face!
Let's not forget to enjoy our lives, God creates us and gave us this gift. He wants us to be happy! He wants us to feel that we are loved and we are alive.
Prayer: Father, I thank you that you want me to enjoy times of fun and celebration. You are the creator of fun and you love to see your children enjoying the world and gifts you've given them. Help me not be afraid to have fun. Help me pursue fun in ways that honor and bring you joy. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
REFLECTION: How do you have fun while thinking of God?
