Empower the Weak

He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless -Isaiah 40:29
Today’s Encouragement: Do you recall a situation where the harder you tried to mend something, the worse it became? Sometimes it’s a relationship where you try to say and do the right things only to make the other person upset. No matter what the situation, remember that God is in control, not you. When you’re feeling powerless, God will empower you. God says that he will give power to the weak. To those who have no might he will increase or multiply strength. There are a number of things here that can help us overcome weariness.
Power can mean ability. Weariness is characterized by the sense that we simply cannot do what we must do. We have all said this at one time or another. “I just can’t do this.” This verse is a promise that there is another ability to which we have access, that is his ability. Your “can’t” can become his can.
Remember that you must wait in faith. You must wait in worship. You must wait in the Word of God. When you do, you will run and never get weary. You will walk and never faint. Like the eagle, the storm of life will cause you to fly higher and higher until you’re not longer looking up at the storm but down at your enemy.
The next time you’re in a situation like this, say a prayer to reveal your weakness and acknowledge that God is in control.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for covering my weakness. Please be my strength today as I look to You. In Jesus Christ Name, I pray. Amen.
Reflection: How do you surrender your weariness to God?
